Virtual Currency & In‑App Purchases Policy

1) Scope

This policy explains optional paid features that may be offered on TrailheadDays (trailheaddays.com) and related apps/services, including one-time in-app purchases, subscriptions, and any virtual currency/coins (collectively, “Virtual Items”).

2) Pricing, taxes, and checkout

• Prices are shown at the point of purchase (typically in CAD unless stated otherwise).
• Applicable taxes (including GST/HST/PST, where required) may be added and displayed during checkout or by the app store/payment processor.
• You must review the total price, billing frequency (if any), and the items included before confirming purchase.

3) Subscriptions and recurring billing (if offered)

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval unless cancelled before renewal.
• You can cancel via your account settings or, if purchased through Apple App Store/Google Play or another platform, through that platform’s subscription management.
• Cancellation stops future renewals; access typically remains until the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated at purchase.

4) Refunds, chargebacks, and failed payments

• All purchases are generally final once delivered, unless required by Canadian law or expressly stated at checkout.
• If you purchased through an app store/platform, refund requests are handled under that platform’s policies and processes.
• If a payment is reversed (chargeback) or fails, we may suspend or remove access to Virtual Items, premium features, or the related account until the issue is resolved.

5) Virtual currency / coins terms

• Virtual currency has no cash value, is not legal tender, and is not redeemable for money or monetary equivalents.
• Virtual currency is non-transferable and may only be used within our services as described at the time of use.
• Virtual currency is not offered as a prize and cannot be exchanged for prizes or items of real-world value through us.
• We may modify, limit, or discontinue Virtual Items (including coins) where permitted by law; if we do, we will act reasonably and provide notice where practicable.

6) Promotional/bonus coins

• Bonus coins (if offered) may be subject to additional conditions such as minimum spend, time limits, usage limits, or expiration, which will be disclosed in the promotion.
• Promotional awards may be withdrawn if obtained through error, fraud, abuse, or violation of our terms.
